Dampier To Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline

Health Safety Environment

DBP is wholly committed to being an industry leader in health, safety and environmental performance. This approach is at the core of how DBP does business.

In 30 years of operation, there has not been any critical incident on the pipeline that has adversely affected supply as a result of DBPs operations.

The pipeline itself is under continuous manned supervision from a control room which remotely manages all operations. DBP’s control room can shut down any of the compressor stations, and bypass entire sections of the pipeline in the event of an incident. DBP also runs regular aerial surveillance flights along the length of the asset.

DBP operates to safety cases which are approved by the WA Department of Mines and Petroleum and work to strict Zero Harm Principles that place requirements on our employees in relation to areas such as driving, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use, remote travel and working in high gas risk areas.
